Featured Author Sarah Bonar Sarah Bonar grew up in Cranbrook, a small town nestled in British Columbia's East Kootenays. Living in the mountains gave Sarah many opportunities to participate in outdoor sports, whether she wanted to or not. Sarah claims that her earliest excursions were often forced on her by her parents, and she remembers many multi-day hiking trips that were rife with heavy backpacks, blisters and mud. As she grew older, she began to secretly appreciate these hiking trips but never dared tell her parents, who would no doubt have said, "We told you so!" She later completed an Education degree and now balances her time between teaching in the Vancouver school system and being a mother. In her spare time Sarah loves to pen short stories and is a reviewer of Family Entertainment for the Examiner.com/Vancouver. She was first published in a Summit Studios anthology back in 2008, when her story "Skiing with Dad" appeared in A Beaver is Eating My Canoe. Watch for her most recent yarn "Crotch Brake" in the pages of Never Trust a Smiling Bear.
