Leslie Bamford

Leslie Bamford is a native of Montreal who currently lives in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. She has always enjoyed writing letters, term papers, memos, even grocery lists. The light finally dawned and she began creative writing.

Leslie travels regularly with her husband, although many of their trips, regrettably, seem to fall outside her comfort zone. Because of him she once found herself at the helm of a 34-foot sailboat in a storm, despite her aversion to drowning. On another occasion he dragged her to the top of the highest peak in Vermont, despite her fear of heights. Yet another time he made her crawl through pitch-black caves in Kentucky, despite her fear of enclosed spaces. He's currently trying to convince her to take up scuba diving so they can go swimming together in shark-infested waters.

You can read about one of their recent trips in Mugged by a Moose; the story "Death by Vacation" is an amusing tale about the tribulations of travelling with a fearless partner. Leslie is currently working on a book about living with a wacky husband, a feisty black cat and her mother's ghost.
